The  Trauma Healing project  has been implemented in Armenia since 2020․ During 2021-2022 within the framework of this program, four-day training courses are organized for the teachers of the Armenian Church History of public schools on the topic of relieving from the traumas of adolescents living in turbulent times. The participation of school psychologists in the training is desirable.

The program has two thematic guidelines - "Liberation" and "Beyond Disaster", which are designed to provide psychological and psychological first aid to adolescents who have experienced a natural disaster, war or epidemic. The program has a positive impact on identifying adolescents' problems in schools, their correct and competent solution, expression and control of emotions, as well as overcoming stress.

Psychological first aid helps people recognize common spiritual and emotional reactions to disasters. Like physical first aid, this one aims to start an ongoing care process. These guides can give people the skills and resources to help with healing and recovery. The book of  guidelines uses techniques and exercises modeled on the program of the Institute for Psychotrauma Relief.

The training course is conducted by a psychologist and a priest, who based on their professional approaches, complements each other and comprehensively provides teachers with new knowledge and skills to identify adolescents with psychiatric disorders in their classrooms, provide appropriate assistance and, if necessary, refer to a specialist.

The main part of the course is based exclusively on the Bible, covering specific psychological issues with Bible examples.

In parallel with the training, the teachers work with their students according to the above-mentioned guidelines, then discuss the received feedback and results with the trainers.

The participants of the course are given certificates by the Bible Society of Armenia.
