The previous years experience has proved the importance and need of the Bible in soldiers’ life. One of the tasks of the Bible Society of Armenia is to distribute Bible literature to thousands of soldiers serving in the Army, to help them to find their way to God, to support others, to understand the value of life during years of service. With lots of questions that concern them, they will definitely find the answers in the Bible.

The BS of Armenia carried out this project in military units of different provinces, by the assistance of the spiritual leadership of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

In 2010-2011, this important project was launched by the participation of all the officers of the Ministry of Defence in three months of lectures. During these lectures 10,000 copies of pocket size camouflage New Testament and Psalms were distributed. This initiative has become a permanent procedure, by publishing 8000 copies of New Testaments and Psalms. This publication was implemented by donations of Deacon Mourad Karakashian (Totonto).

From 2015, the BS of Armenia has visited many military units, organizing Bible studies, participating in oath ceremonies of recruits, various events, being next to soldiers in the military posts and trenches. During the oath ceremonies each recruit received a pocket size New Testament as a gift.

During 2020-2021 the cooperation of the Bible Society of Armenia with the chaplains of  the RA Armed Forces has reached serious results. "Trauma Healing" seminars were organized for the priests, they were given key knowledge to work with the servicemen in the best way.

Visits were made to different Military Camps of the Republic of Armenia  where  studies of the Holy Scriptures were held and conversations on biblical topics took place. Visits were made to Muratsan  and Yerevan military hospitals organized with the chaplains to the soldiers who suffered from the war. Bibles were distributed to them.

For the past two years, the Bible Society of Armenia has come up with a new initiative, purchasing a New Testament audio device from the  “Faith Comes by Hearing” organization  to distribute it to  the visited military camps. 

The visited military camps libraries were provided with: "Bible", Audio NT (big and small), "New Testament and Psalms", "Narek", "The Soldier's Bible, NT", "The Bible's message to the soldiers", "Tobit", "John the Theologian, the Apostle of Love", " Pre-Nicene patrology "," Children read the Bible "," Holy Scripture Dictionary "," Holy Book Knowledge Treasury"A ․ B ․ C ․ books.

 Visits were organized to the families of the killed servicemen of Akhuryan of Shirak region, Vardenis region and to the families of 17 killed medical doctors.
