2019 May 31, FridayWe reached to the closing period of the project ''Moving Gospel'' in 4 villages. We paid 12 visits in every village and discussed different topics, based on the ''Moving Gospel'' booklet, which was specially published and distributed to all participants.
Thanks God and thanks to your cordial prayers of everybody everything went on smoothly. In this way we reached another 4 bordering villages; 66th, 67th, 68th, 79th villages. Next step will be the 70th.
The last meeting in the village of Zangatun (Bell-House), Ararat Region, was very special and also a surprise was waiting to Abp Yeznik Petrossian, the GS of the Bible Society of Armenia, and to BS delegation. All the parents, the children, the teachers, the principal were gathered at the school’s assembly hall. Everything was festive. The last session conducted not by us, but by the attendees of this project. In this village we have taken a new initiative, weaving carpets and puppet-making, this was aimed to give them a good and uplifting motivation, to reveal what did they get from this project. They weaved carpets by Jesus parables' motives and puppet characters, drawing from the same parables. 26 parents and children were involved in this initiative.
I personally witness that this project is well explored, and in very short period of time, only four weeks, we saw skillful hands, which produced 2 dozen of small carpets and almost 40 puppets, thanks to Srbuhi Movsisyan, who was amazed by the skill of this people. She declared: ‘’This is the first time and the first place, where I see that the participants very enthusiastically devoted themselves to this art and in very short of time they reached to such a huge result.’’ But most importantly, the children presented a series of puppet show (''The wise man who built his house on a rock'', The Tower of Babylon'', ''The Healing of the Paralyzed Man'', ''The Mission of Philip'', ''Miraculous Fishing'', Zacceus'', ''The Good Samaritan''), based on the parables and other biblical themes, that we discussed during our meetings;... During the performing ''The Healing of the Paralyzed Man'', a lady whispered by herself: ''Anyway, Jesus always protecting and saving us. Jesus is our Savior''. Really, a good impact, isn't it? At the end of every parable Varduhi Sahakyan, 8th grade, who was performing Jesus' role, presented the main message of each performance in one sentence.
After the exhibition of the carpets and the puppet shows, HE Abp Yenik Petrossian expressed his joy to witness a success, stating. '' Each one of you I consider as a preacher. In many and in different ways the Word of God is being spread. You have chosen this way. Really it is beautiful. The works which create the beauty is hard, but they give us calmness. What message have I got today? The children taught us, 'If you are with God, God never lets you alone', this was the main message of our children for all of us,'' concluded the GS of BS Armenia.
